About Lake Champlain
Lake Champlain, or "The Sixth Great Lake" as it has been named, forms the border between the Adirondack Mountains of New York State and the Green Mountains of Vermont. For the cruising sailor who prefers quiet vacations, this 136 mile long fresh water lake offers historic award-winning scenery amongst its countless uninhabited island anchorages and shoreline as well as both rocky and sandy beaches.

For the cruiser who prefers the amenities of dockside accommodations and night life, 43 marinas provide boating services to cruisers ranging from fuel, pumpouts, electric, ice and groceries to waterfront dining.

Many marinas are located within easy walking distance of a great variety of stores.

We are located in Plattsburgh, NY – approx 5 ½ hours north of New York City and about 45 minutes south of Montreal, Quebec. We are easily reached by car via Interstate 87, by Amtrak  or, by plane to either Plattsburgh, NY (PLB) or Burlington, VT (BTV).
